HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE

Activities Help New Mexico's Hungry

Albuquerque, NM - October 8, 2008As the largest hunger relief organization in the state, Roadrunner Food Bank gears up during the holiday season to ensure we have adequate food supplies throughout the winter months to provide for the hungry and less fortunate.  Between now and the end of the year, Roadrunner Food Bank needs fund and food donations for this year’s annual Holiday Food Drive.

Melody Wattenbarger, executive director said, “The holidays are a time when many of us think about giving back and helping those in need.  More and more New Mexicans are faced with difficulties right now.  Fluctuating fuel prices, increased food costs and higher heating expenses will make it difficult for thousands to make ends meet this winter.”

The community is invited to participate in the Holiday Food Drive activities listed HERE.

Individuals interested in donating non-perishable food can select a variety of items listed in THIS DOCUMENT, or visit our website to make a monetary donation at www.rrfb.org.
