Donations of food are always welcome at the Food Bank.  We have the ability to handle any kind of food item - dry, canned, refrigerated or frozen.

There are a few items that we cannot accept at the Food Bank.  For safety and sanitation reasons, we are careful about the food that we distribute.  Please refer to the following list:

  • Open items - any food item that has been opened, where the inner packaging has been ripped, or any item has had the packaging seal broken

  • Homemade items - any prepared foods made at your home or any home canned items (fresh produce grown in your home garden is always acceptable!)

  • Items not in their original container - beans or rice purchased bulk at a grocery store and placed in a bag

  • Items without labels - the food we distribute must have a label containing the item name, a list of ingredients, place of manufacture (and nutrition information if possible)

If you have a question about the food items that you want to donate, call Jesse at 505-349-8690 (EMAIL) or bring them by the Food Bank and we'll be happy to sort out and dispose of anything that cannot be used.

We accept donations of food from individuals, growers, and from companies in the food industry.  For more information on donating food to the Food Bank, please select the appropriate link below:
