Hungry people continue to need our help because they don’t always have enough money for food. Sometimes they have run out of available resources when retirement isn’t enough to last all month; social security or disability funds only get them through the 15 or 20th of the month; or they are working, but their wages aren’t enough to feed their entire family. And so many are new to hunger with a recent layoff, reduction of work hours or benefits are cut, and suddenly they have no way to make ends meet.

As our partners, we want you to meet some of the people your support is helping.

You can read about how a child, a senior, a family and adults struggle with the ability to have enough to eat. Through our Hunger Videos you can meet people in our own community who rely on the agencies we distribute food to and the programs we provide to make sure they have food in their home, when personal resources have run out.

Your support is helping nearly 40,000 different people EVERY week, and every $1 you contribute helps us provide $9 worth of food in our community. Remember, many of them are children who have no way to provide for themselves.

Thank you for supporting our work to end hunger in New Mexico. You are helping people you may never meet, but they will be forever grateful for the help you give.
