Food Rescue Training
The Food Rescue training and certification will provide your hunger relief program with all the necessary information to conduct a successful food rescue program in your community. Adherence to these Feeding America developed guidelines will provide your organization with credibility when you approach potential food donors, regardless of their size
How to navigate this site
Step 1 - Download the Feeding America Retail Donation Program Manual found here
and thoroughly familiarize yourself with the contents before proceeding.
Step 2 - Proceed to Overview video while following along in Section 1 (1.1-2.3)
Step 3 – Take Test 1
Click submit when you are done answering the questions. The screen will go back to the original web page, and you will be ready to take Part 2.
Step 4 - Proceed to Agency Pickup video while following along in in Section 3 of the Manual (3.1 -3.3)
Step 5 – Take test 2
Click submit when you are done answering the questions. The screen will go back to the original web page, and you will be ready to take Part 3
Step 6 – Proceed to “Food Safety Handling and Storage” video while following along with Manual sections (4-4.56)
Step 7 – Take Test 3
You must complete each section of each test.
You do not have to take all 3 sections at once.
Each completed test will be graded and emailed back to you.
If you pass all three tests you will receive a certificate that will be emailed to you.
