Making a Donation: Anything Helps

At Roadrunner Food Bank, we distribute nearly 23 million pounds of food every year to hundreds of locations around New Mexico. Even though we do our best to keep up with the growing demand for food assistance, high unemployment and a slow recovering economy contribute to an increasing need for food assistance in New Mexico. At Roadrunner Food Bank, any type of assistance helps our mission to serve our community.

Making a Donation makes a Difference

When it comes to making a donation, every dollar we receive makes a difference to help hungry people. Roadrunner Food Bank feeds roughly 40,000 hungry people every week who need food assistance. With drastic federal cuts to food programs that help low-income people coming in the future, meeting the need of our community is more crucial than ever. Our need is so great that:

  • For every dollar donated, we can distribute five meals in the community
  • For every person fed, there are still two more than need help
  • We still need to provide more than 117 million meals every year to close the hunger gap in our state

If making a donation to Roadrunner Food Bank is not an option for you and your family, but you would like to help, consider our volunteer opportunities. We are always looking for people who are interested in helping our organization.
