Thanks to American Home for donating 5 percent of their sales to hunger relief from June 10-19! Their efforts help us at Roadrunner Food Bank to solve hunger across New Mexico this summer! During 2015 alone, American Home’s sales campaigns in partnership with us allowed them to give our work more than $23,000 and made 115,000 more meals possible for our clients statewide!

Hunger in New Mexico continues to remain high, with more than 358,000 people (including 136,000 children) statewide not knowing where their next meal will come from.  To participate in America Home’s special promotion, simply purchase furniture from one of their locations in Albuquerque, Farmington, or Santa Fe from June 10-19. Five percent of your purchase will be donated to Roadrunner Food Bank. Like American Home, your furniture purchase makes an impact in providing food for children, families, and seniors statewide. Your support of American Home during this June promotion will make more summer meals possible for New Mexican kids like Isabella.

Isabella goes to Truman Middle School in southwest Albuquerque and recently, her single mom lost her job. While struggling to make ends meet, one of Isabella’s teachers reached out to Roadrunner and connected Isabella’s family to our Childhood Hunger Initiative mobile food pantry at their school. Now, Isabella and family receive a monthly guaranteed allotment of food, as well as supplemental food for Isabella’s younger sisters through an ongoing backpack program.

Plus, on Saturday June 18 from 10 am – 2 pm, Roadrunner Food Bank will be at American Home’s Albuquerque location on Carlisle Boulevard to take food donations on-site. You can use this American Home coupon linked here when you go! Don’t forget that every $1 given to Roadrunner, whether it be from you or American Home, makes five additional meals possible! Thanks and we look forward to working with you and American Home to make more meals possible this summer!
