Help Roadrunner Food Bank raise hundreds of thousands of pounds of food to help feed our hungry neighbors across New Mexico this Saturday November 21 with the Annual Letter Carriers’ Food Drive!
In Albuquerque & Rio Rancho, letter carriers will pick up non-perishable food donations this Saturday. Leave a bag filled with non-perishable food near your mailbox before the daily mail arrives. Your letter carrier will pick up your food donations for the Food Bank.
Together, your gift of food allows us to touch the lives of our hungry neighbors! Neighbors like Micaela, a single grandmother raising two grandchildren all on her own. Her monthly Social Security earnings don’t last long enough to cover her medication costs AND buying food for herself and her grandchildren. She told us recently,
“I was in a dark place for months, until a friend of mine told me about Silver Horizons (a Roadrunner partner agency). I went and couldn’t believe the amount of food! When I heard it all came from Roadrunner Food Bank, it was just a “Wow!” moment. I can’t thank Roadrunner and Silver Horizons enough for making fruits, veggies, and more food possible!”
Thank you to the National Association of Letter Carriers, the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association, our media partners KOB TV 4, NASH FM 92.3 KRST, & 93.3 KOB FM, and you for helping us solve hunger together!
