Hello Food Bank Supporters!  The Holiday Season is upon us again and it's time to place your orders for our popular Holiday Gift Card program.  Also, tickets are now available for Souper Bowl 2006!

Gift Card Program
In the spirit of holiday sharing, Roadrunner Food Bank invites you to honor your friends, colleagues, clients and family members with a gift of food and hope to hungry children and adults in our community.  By sending a donation to the food bank along with a list of names and addresses, Roadrunner will hand address and send to each recipient on your list a high quality, full color card picturing a Southwest basket filled with colorful corn and vegetables.

Souper Bowl 2006

Roadrunner Food Bank invites you to attend its popular Souper Bowl 2006 event.  This year's event will be held from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, January, 29th (the week before the actual Super Bowl football game).

Advance tickets are now on sale and are just $25 for adults and $5 for kids under 12.  There will only be 800 tickets sold this year and an early sellout is expected.

Tickets to the Souper Bowl make fantastic Holiday Gifts!

Food Drives!

The Holiday Food Drives are still in progress and we have been successful so far, but so much more is needed to meet the current demand.

If you haven't had the chance to participate in a Food Drive this Holiday Season, it's not too late. . . . All Albuquerque Metro Bank of America locations are accepting non-perishable foods through December 30th.

You can also try out our Virtual Food Drive (and save the trip to the store!)

USDA Report on Food Insecurity

The USDA has released its study on the prevalence of hunger.  The "Household Food Security In The United States, 2004" was released this month.  The news was not good for our state.

At 15.8%, New Mexico ranks second behind Texas in food insecurity in the nation and ranks 4th nationally in food insecurity with hunger.

Thank you for your continued support of Roadrunner Food Bank's mission to end hunger in New Mexico!  For more information on what we're doing about hunger, please visit our web site at www.rrfb.org
