Need Help with Food?

Summer is a time of year that low-income families and children stress and worry about hunger more than any other time.  In fact, summer is the hungriest time of year.

With children out of school, low-income families do not have the free/reduced lunch and breakfast program available to them.  The low-income families of children in need do not have the ability to make up those extra meals they miss during the summer months while they are out of school.

But, we can help!  If you or someone you know needs access to food this summer, here’s how we can help!

  • Use our online Get Help feature.  Simply enter your zip code where it indicates “Find a Partner” and a list of sites we supply food to will come up.
  • Download our FREE Apple or GooglePlay app for real-time food assistance information right at your fingertips.
  • Our staff and volunteers can help you apply for SNAP (food stamp) benefits and walk you through next steps once submitted to the Income Support Office.
  • Call our toll-free food assistance line M-F from 8 am to 4 pm at 505.349.5340 or toll-free 866.327.0267.  A staff member will provide details of locations we supply food to within your area.

Feel free to pass this information along to others you may know who might need food assistance this summer.
