Civil Rights Training

The Food and Nutrition Services (FANS) Bureau of the New Mexico Human Services Department requires that all partners who distribute TEFAP foods must have at least one member of its staff and any volunteers that handle client information, complete and pass a Civil Rights Training Course and Quiz once per fiscal year. (Staff/volunteers taking Civil Rights Training and the Quiz must be an authorized contact/coordinator/shopper of Roadrunner).

Many of you may recall doing the training and quiz last year; it is a requirement that it be completed every year. We understand that this training is an extra step and we greatly appreciate your cooperation.

You are required to get 10 out of 14 questions correct to pass. All TEFAP partners must have at least one member of its staff and any volunteers that handle client information complete the Civil Rights Training Course and Quiz no later than Tuesday, August 1, 2017. TEFAP partners who do not have a member of its staff complete the course by August 1st will have their ability to receive TEFAP Foods disabled until the course is completed.

Once you successfully complete the Quiz, you will receive a certificate via email within one week. You are required to keep the certificate for your records as it is an item of inspection by FANS and Roadrunner Food Bank.
