Play a Role in Solving Hunger this Winter

You can play an important role in solving hunger by hosting an Online Food & Fund Drive.

During the holiday season we invite the community to get involved by helping us raise awareness and take action to solve hunger in New Mexico. The outpouring of support brings the necessary donations of food and money as well as hope to tens of thousands of people in need of food assistance.

It’s that time of year again, when we ask YOU to get involved, take action, and feed hungry people.

Be a part of the solution to ending hunger this holiday season by hosting an Online Holiday Food & Fund Drive. The new website is a fun and interactive opportunity for groups of any size or individuals with a passion for ending hunger to raise funds to buy food.

Visit www.rrfb.org/ofd to register a team, join a team or register as an individual. The new site allows you to set up a webpage and send email asking your friends, family and colleagues to support your efforts.

The money donated through the Online Food & Fund Drive is tax-deductible and anyone who contributes will receive a receipt for each gift made through the website. And the Online Holiday Food & Fund Drive can take place from any computer without the hassle of collecting heavy food or dealing with bulky food collection barrels.

$1 equals 5 meals

And the best part – for every $1 contributed to the Online Food & Fund Drive, Roadrunner Food Bank is able to provide meals to 5 hungry people.  Your monetary contribution allows us to purchase nutritious food to feed people right away.

Families can form teams, organizations can form teams, civic groups and church groups can form teams and host an online food drive. Or, register yourself, set a goal and ask others to support your efforts to feed hungry people this winter.

So many people rely on our help this time of year and you can be a part of the solution to ending hunger!
