Volunteer Opportunities for Large Groups in Albuquerque

Roadrunner Food Bank provides food assistance to 70,000 hungry people every week through a network of partner agencies and hunger-relief programs all over New Mexico. It takes a small army of volunteers to make it possible for us to distribute more than 130,000 pounds of food during the work week. The work our New Mexico Food Bank provides to hungry people across the state would not be possible without the help of our dedicated volunteers, especially those in large groups. Whether they volunteer for a two-hour shift or on weekly or monthly basis, each volunteer makes a difference in solving hunger in our state.

What Types of Large Groups Volunteer

At Roadrunner Food Bank, we welcome and encourage large groups to volunteer. If you have 20 people or more in your group, please consider taking a few precious hours to volunteer with us. Volunteer work is possible for all types of groups, including:

  • Faith-based and faith-community groups
  • Elementary, mid-school, high school and university groups
  • Other charities
  • Families and friends
  • Civic or community-based groups
  • Businesses

All that is required to take advantage of our volunteer opportunities is a good attitude, wearing closed toed shoes, being able to do light physical work, including standing and lifting boxes. We’ll show you how to do the rest!
