Volunteer This Summer

Distributing food to hundreds of affiliated partner sites is possible thanks to the helping hands of volunteers.  Six days a week volunteers help us prep food for distribution and perform other activities to help us accomplish our work and supply food to people struggling with hunger.

This summer sign up to help and dedicate a few hours every week by volunteering.  It’s easy to register online. Your gift of time truly helps provide food to low-income families in need.

Warehouse Volunteers
Volunteers perform tasks that are often physically demanding.  Tasks involved lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending and reaching.  Please wear appropriate clothing to work inside our warehouse. Jeans, tennis shoes and t-shirts are the best for this type of volunteer work. Closed toed shoes are required to work inside the warehouse. Volunteers hours:

Monday’s: 9 am to 1 pm
Tuesday’s-Friday’s: 8 am to 4 pm

Individual volunteers may register online.  Volunteer groups with two or more in the party should email: givetime@rrfb.orgcall 505.349.5358 or complete this online submission form.

Non-Warehouse Volunteers
Roadrunner Food Bank also seeks volunteers to help with special projects, outreach activities, food distribution support, events and other activities.  A majority of these activities require special skills you may have and are willing to share with us.

This website link shows a list of needed volunteer skills at the bottom of the page. Volunteers helping with these projects often require a longer time commitment.  Please complete this online application so we may learn more about you.  Once the survey is completed, we’ll contact you and schedule a time to meet.

Thank you for your gift of service!  Your dedication and commitment help us continue to solve hunger for people experiencing poverty and hunger.
