On the second Saturday in May, the National Association of Letter Carriers and the United States Postal Service host the largest national food drive in the United States. The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive takes place in 10,000 communities across the country.

In Albuquerque, food collected through Stamp Out Hunger benefits Roadrunner Food Bank. On Saturday, May 13, we encourage community members to leave out a bag of non-perishable food at their mailboxes. Letter carriers will pick up food donations left at mailboxes and bring them to 11 different post offices. Volunteers and staff sort the food donations on the dock and load it into trailers destined for the food bank.

Volunteers are crucial to this event, so we encourage you, your family or your group to sign up. Volunteers can sign up and registered to help at this link.

In addition to non-perishable food items, you are also welcome to donate funds. Every dollar donated to Roadrunner Food Bank helps us distribute up to five meals to New Mexicans experiencing hunger.

We thank you for all the ways you choose to support this event!
