Stamp Out Hunger is Saturday, May 10!

The results are in!  Thank you to all who donated 137,556 pounds of food in Albuquerque!  Whether you gave food or donated time, your contribution is much appreciated and will make such a difference!  Thank you, thank you!

If you missed the food drive, there is still time to donate.  You can bring any food donation to
5840 Office Blvd NE Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm or on Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm.

Note: some letter carrier vehicles were completely filled top to bottom with food and some food donations couldn’t get
picked up.  Letter carriers typically will pick up the food the week of May 12 – May 16 — if it did get missed. Postal
customer may also wish to take their food donation directly to their area post office this week. 

Hosted by The National Association of Letter Carriers and the United States Postal Service, the largest national food drive Stamp Out Hunger occurs annually on the second Saturday in May. In Albuquerque, food collected through Stamp Out Hunger benefits Roadrunner Food Bank.

Remember to leave non-perishable food items at your mailbox for your letter carrier to collect. Keep your eye out for the blue bag to be delivered with your mail the week of the food drive. No blue bag? Any bag or box will work!

We are so grateful to our local letter carrier’s union for going above and beyond to help feed our neighbors in need. We can’t run this event without them, and we need you too! Click here to see available volunteer shifts at 11 Albuquerque post offices during the event.

In addition to non-perishable food items, you are also welcome to donate funds. Every dollar donated to Roadrunner Food Bank helps us distribute up to five meals to New Mexicans experiencing hunger.
