There are many ways to help Roadrunner® Food Bank of New Mexico’s mission to feed the hungry in our state. Every dollar you give helps us provide five meals to hungry people in our community. But giving money to the food bank doesn’t have to come directly out of your pocket. Many corporations have developed programs to help fund our mission while you do everyday activities like shop for groceries or gifts.
Employer Donation Match
One way to help Roadrunner Food Bank is to ask your company’s human resources representative or executive if they will match monetary or food donations to the food bank. Many corporations have corporate giving programs that will help provide money for charitable causes. Please get in touch with our staff for more details on ways your corporation can help us fulfill our mission.
Donate Cryptocurrency
Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. Smith’s Inspiring Donations
Smith’s Food and Drug supports local non-profit organizations through the Smith’s Inspiring Donations Program. You can link your Smith’s rewards card to Roadrunner Food Bank and earn a 0.5 percent donation to the food bank on eligible purchases every time you buy groceries at Smith’s. Simply click on the button to link your Smith’s rewards card to our non-profit and start shopping! You’ll need to remember to update your selected charity once a year.
Give with Bing
You can now make charitable contributions to Roadrunner Food Bank by surfing the web with Give with Bing.
Microsoft Rewards lets you support Roadrunner Food Bank through its Give with Bing program. After signing up and selecting our organization, you can earn rewards points just for searching the web with Bing. Microsoft then turns those points into cash donations to us.
The program is completely free. Just click on the yellow button and sign up with a Microsoft account.
Instacart
Instacart has launched Community Carts, which makes it easier for users to donate non-perishable food to more than 100 local Feeding America member food banks across the United States, with delivery and service fees waived on every donation order.
To start giving, click the yellow button or go to this link. This will take you to Roadrunner Food Bank’s list of items, based on some of the most needed items in the food bank. You can select what items you would like to donate, purchase them for the food bank, and Instacart shoppers will then deliver the items directly to the food bank.
