SPONSORSHIPS

Roadrunner® Food Bank is able to pursue our mission of ending hunger in New Mexico thanks to generous sponsorships from corporate and business donors. Our corporate and business sponsors provide a variety of support including sponsorship for upcoming events, hunger-relief programs, grant funds, cause marketing campaigns, gifts of food from our Food Rescue partners, employee focused food and fund drives, and employee volunteer days. We are grateful to the many corporate and business supporters who provide us with resources on a number of levels statewide.

Souper Bowl brings 1,000+ people into our warehouse and features soup and dessert from 40 restaurants, live entertainment, a raffle and more!

Opportunities for Sponsorship

We provide several opportunities for corporate partners to sponsor the food bank, including event sponsorships, hunger relief program sponsorships, and other sponsorships that can be customized to meet your company’s philanthropic goals.

Businesses and corporations interested in a sponsorship should contact our staff (see below).  A quick phone call, email, or in-person conversation with you will help us understand your philanthropic goals and intentions.

Event Sponsorships

Roadrunner Food Bank holds or participates in a variety of events throughout the year, many of them very large in scope. These events help us to get our name out in the community while also providing us an opportunity to raise funds through these events or associated non-perishable food donations. Corporations and businesses are invited to sponsor these events which benefit the food bank.

  • January: Souper Bowl
  • May: Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
  • June: Annual SEED Conference (every other year)
  • September: Hunger Action Month
  • November: Letter Carriers Food Drive

These events are possible year after year thanks to the help of corporations and businesses in our local community. Corporate sponsorships help us underwrite some of the expenses associated with events, whether through a financial sponsorship or in-kind donation.

If you’re interested in engaging in a corporate or business sponsorship for one of these events, please contact us to learn more.

Hunger Relief Program Sponsorships

As part of our mission to end food insecurity and hunger in New Mexico, Roadrunner Food Bank has identified several vulnerable populations that we believe deserve extra focus. These groups are particularly vulnerable to food insecurity for a variety of reasons, and we have developed programs to address these needs in specific ways.

Your corporation or business can choose to sponsor any of our programs, including:

Our job training program is another opportunity to help us with our mission of ending hunger in New Mexico. The Second Chances Job Training Program includes a paid internship for a member of society who might otherwise have difficulty finding regular employment, and gives them training and skills to help them land a good paying job. After the program is over, many of these interns are invited to work with us at Roadrunner Food Bank in our warehouse, giving us a stream of reliable regular employees who can help us with our mission. Interns in the program receive training and on the job skills acquired in our warehouse or learn how to operate and drive a tractor trailer.

By sponsoring a particular program, you help us provide a vulnerable population in our community with healthy and nutritious food that they may not have access to otherwise. To demonstrate a commitment to your sponsorship, a minimum giving threshold and often a multi-year gift agreement is required to ensure the success of the program. Ask our staff for additional details.

The November Letter Carriers Fall Food Drive raises hundreds of thousands of pounds of non-perishable food for Roadrunner Food Bank

Truck Wraps and Vehicle Sponsorship allow us to carry your company’s messaging along with our brand as we travel 600,000 miles a year to bring food to communities across New Mexico.

Other Corporate Sponsorships

Many of our corporate sponsors regularly hold food or fund drives to help Roadrunner Food Bank keep our shelves full of food for hungry New Mexicans. We provide many tools to make the process easy and fruitful for both of our organizations.

Other ways that corporations sponsor Roadrunner Food Bank include truck wraps or vehicle sponsorships, employee group volunteer time, and in-kind donations. Cause marketing is another way to help us fulfill our mission and end hunger in New Mexico by hosting a promotion in your location on our behalf.

If you’re interested in sponsoring Roadrunner Food Bank by any of these means or have an idea of your own, please be sure to have a conversation with our staff before making any plans. It’s important we understand your philanthropic goals and intentions. Reach our staff members below.
