GIVING SOCIETIES

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Roadrunner® Food Bank relies on contributions from individuals, businesses, corporations, and foundations to fulfill our mission to end hunger. Every donation is an investment in our statewide community, and Roadrunner Food Bank works hard to stretch your funds to go as far as possible. Every $1 contribution helps us distribute five meals to the hungry in our community.

Our giving societies allow us to recognize individuals and businesses who sustain us through their donations in a variety of ways. While every dollar we raise helps us solve hunger in New Mexico, members of these giving societies sustain our mission through reliable, ongoing gifts that we count on from month to month or year to year. These wonderful gifts help us reach hundreds of thousands of individuals and families across New Mexico every year, helping to provide nutritious, healthy meals for those who might otherwise go without.

Monthly Gifts, Multi-Year Pledge Gifts, Leadership Gifts, and Planned Gifts

Recurring gifts, also known as monthly, gifts help Roadrunner Food Bank plan more accurately for programs and activities throughout the year. The donors who contribute $10-$100 each month are members of our Roadrunner Club.

Pledge Gifts are contributions which generally include a commitment of five years or more. Donors complete a pledge form and make a gift of $1,000 or more for a minimum of five years or more. Donors making this pledge commitment are known as Full Plate Society Members.

Leadership Gifts are typically financial contributions donors make in one payment each year. These are donors who have contributed to the food bank for several years and make a yearly contribution totaling $2,500 or more.

Planned Gifts are contributions made typically through an estate or trust as a part of a bequest or other form of financial planning. Friends of the food bank who have communicated to us that they are leaving a gift to the food bank in their will, estate, trust, or other type of deferred gift are part of our Cornucopia Society. These specialized gifts often require the involvement of the donor’s accountant or legal advisor.

If you would like assistance in setting up a planned gift, we invite you to use FreeWill.  It is an online service that makes it simple and cost-free to create your estate plan and includes the necessary language to support Roadrunner Food Bank with a planned gift.  FreeWill can also pair you with a financial advisor. How to Join a Giving Society

Gifts from the community help many New Mexicans facing hunger now and in the future. We would be honored to speak with you about your giving intentions and which giving society might be right for you. While your support can be made online, through a check in the mail, or by calling us, often a brief conversation about your contributions will help us understand your gift intentions.
